My menorah in the window shines a light for all to see.

It reminds us of the miracle God sent to the Maccabees.

With oil for just one-day the lamp burned for eight.

With each day God showed us that His love was great.

Light one candle, two candles, three candles, four.

Then the fifth, sixth, and seventh... Then one candle more.

On the first night just one candle barely penetrates the night,

But with each added candle it keeps growing ever bright.

We look at the candles to give thanks and praise

For the wonder and miracle that lasted eight days.

Light one candle, two candles, three candles, four.

Then the fifth, sixth, and seventh... Then one candle more.

The menorah shines mightily with a light strong and sure

as we recite Hallel and all sing Ma'oz Tsur.

Play dreidel, eat latkes, we celebrate the light.

Zot Chanukah, Zot Chanukah, It is the eighth night!
